“I designed this chicken coop to be easy and fun to build as well as being extremely user friendly. It is perfect if you are a beginning chicken lover, need a second coop to raise chicks in or because your flock has grown. It is built completely of wood so the materials are easy to find and work with.

The plans in this book can be modified to suit your taste and needs. It can be scaled up to house more chickens, built in a different shape or made of exotic wood to fit into your landscape. The size that I have presented is ideal for three to six chickens.

You can build your coop using basic tools and it’s easy to do even in a small work area. It is a very durable coop and will house happy chickens for many years. It has many conveniences that will make daily chicken care easier – a large access door and a removable roof. The run has fox-proofing and is large enough to allow 3-6 chickens ample space during short periods of time.

This is one of my classic chicken coops which I designed several years ago and have sold to satisfied customers. I also design custom coops for chickens and other birds.

I have tended my flock of well-loved chickens for six years and they live in a coop that I built specially for them. I am an author of several books including one on raising chickens naturally. I spend my days in my workshop, researching advanced farming methods and designing new products.“
